Craig Alberty has over forty published
compositions and arrangements in the catalogs of six publishers that
are in international distribution. His works have been featured
at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago, The World
Saxophone Congress in Montreal, and other state and regional meetings
including the North American Saxophone Alliance. His concert band
compositions are included on several contest performance lists in the
U. S. and Australia.

A Jubilant
Flourish – Band
World
magazine included this original work for concert band on the 2006-07
list of top 100 new publications out of 850 entries. It was
performed at the Western International Band Conference in Seattle, 2006
and again at the American Band College Director's clinics in June, 2007.

Coast Romp –
This fun Latin
chart is written for young jazz band. The demo features a killer
trumpet solo by Ken Brader, Phil Woods’ lead player on several
recordings.

Come and
Whisper – This simple setting of the French carol Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella
is scored for young concert band – published by FJH.

Jam – In
its Spetember
2006 issue, The Instrumentalist
magazine reviewed this original work for jazz band and recognized it as

- May 2005 – The Florence Symphony Orchestra
commissioned I Feel Dizzy,
a medley of Dizzy Gillespie works. I performed as saxophone
soloist with Harry Watters, guest trombone artist. Harry is
trombone soloist with the Army Blues jazz band and trombonist in the
Army Band Brass Quintet.
- 2004 – Mid-West Clinic, an International Band
and Orchestra Conference, Chicago, Illinois: the Army Field Band Jazz
Ensemble from Washington D.C. performed Bloozeberry Jam.
- January 2004 conducted the Roosevelt High
School Band, Sioux Falls, SD in the premier performance of Queen City
Facets, a commissioned work for concert band.
- 2003 Mid-West Clinic, an International Band
and Orchestra Conference, Chicago, Illinois: the Army Blues Jazz Band
from Washington D.C. performed The Vax Report.
- Fall 2001 completed Struttin' With
Some Bradercue, a commissioned work for Philadelphia jazz artist
Ken Brader that was supported by a grant from the Florence Regional
Arts Alliance.
- Fall 2000 completed The Vax Report,
a composition written for trumpet virtuoso Mike Vax that has been
published by Educational Programs Publications.
- World Saxophone Congress in Montreal, July
2000, included performances of Sonata for
Saxophone and Percussion (premier) and Bricodeth,
a composition for saxophone and recorded accompaniment that was also
performed at the North American Saxophone Alliance convention in
Gainesville, Florida (1996).
- 2000 Mid-West Clinic, an International Band
and Orchestra Conference, Chicago, Illinois: the Holub Middle School
Jazz Band from Houston, Texas, performed Palm Coast Romp.
- 1999 Mid-West Clinic, an International Band
and Orchestra Conference, Chicago, Illinois: the Space Center
Intermediate School Symphonic Band from Houston, Texas, performed Horizons West.
- 1995 Mid-West Clinic, an International Band
and Orchestra Conference, Chicago, Illinois: the Laing Middle School
Band from Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, performed Cumberland
Overture.
